The Costain team working on the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) Framework has exceeded five years without a RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations).
The remarkable milestone was reached recently and has seen over 2.2 million manhours worked without a RIDDOR over the five years.
John Madden, Framework Director said:
"To reach the five year mark without a reportable accident is a wonderful achievement for the whole team. Our impressive safety record highlights the continued commitment to health and safety by all Costain staff on the Framework and throughout our supply chain”.
The team is continuing to promote safety awareness through numerous incentive schemes across its projects. John Madden added:
“However, continual focus has to be applied in order to maintain this record and this year Costain Behavioural Safety (CBS) will remain the primary initiative to aid the Framework’s drive for continual improvement”.
